Music theory

Music theory is an important part of the foundation for any musician for several reasons. First, it deepens our ability to understand the structure of music. Secondly, music theory allows us to speak with other musicians in a common language.

This class will introduce students to the theory of music, providing them with the skills needed to read and write music notation, as well as to understand, analyze, and listen informedly. It will cover subjects such as pitches and scales, intervals, clefs, rhythm, form, meter and phrases. And as usual, as we do it in Music Room, the class will be held in a playful and creative environment.
